Universal Florida or Universal Hollywood?!

Which do you prefer? My brother (age 50 and no kids) has declared he wants to go to one of them - and wants to take us (family of 4 - kids 5 and 10) with him as a family trip.

Which would be your immediate preference if it was you??!

Orlando, it's got two parks and the city walk is so much better than Hollywood - Hollywood is quite small in comparison but I enjoyed them both.

florida - much bigger, more rides, the one in hollywood is mainly a studio tour with some rides

Definitely Florida. It’s got all the Harry Potter wizarding world.

Yep, Florida.

I was worried from googling (I know nothing of these things - don't even have a passport!) that the rides atFlorida might be more for older kids and adults?

Florida all the time!!

Depending on age of kids - anyone from maybe 8 plus will have a fab time!

Just seen the DC ages 🤦🏻‍♀️

5 year old might have less to do in the way of bigger rollercoasters, however quite a few are lap bars and rides rather than coasters.

I've done both, Hollywood is a bit meh imo but universal is incredible (going again next month 😂)

Universal Studios Japan!!

AllFreeOwls · 02/08/2022 18:21

I've done both. Hollywood was a one day and done park. Florida is much bigger and had a lot more to do.
I'd recommend he checks out Disboards.com for all the advice about all the parks.

Florida. If you’re in the Uk, much less (like 12 hours?) less flying too.

Universal Studios Japan!!

I was gonna say this but wasn't an option, love Japan!

Mine loved universal Florida at the ages of 8 and 10, but both enjoy big coasters. There is plenty for younger ones too though.

We absolutely adored Universal Hollywood but it’s very small, which has its advantages (no cranky, tired children and sore feet!) and it’s disadvantages. We had fast passes and did every single ride in the park in one day, going on some of them multiple times without ever feeling rushed. It’s a great park but more for if you’re just staying in the LA area in general or planning to split your time between there and Disney in Anaheim
