Do Vue Cinemas check ID for a 15 cert film?

DD and I read Where the Crawdads Sing together and she really wants to see the film. I've just tried to book tickets and it's a 15 certificate :( Having read the IMDB guide I don't have any concerns about taking her but are they actually going to check for ID?

They do more often than not in my local Vue.

Depends. DS and his friends couldn't buy tickets from an actual person without showing ID. So they ordered them online from outside the cinema and weren't questioned going in.

I reckon if DD looks 15 and is with a parent they won't ask.

I know a 14 year old at our local was unable to watch a film with a 15 rating - they asked for ID

Yes they have to check ID. It’s the law as with all age restricted things.

We buy our tix online and have never been asked to provide ID ever! Aged 13 and 14, seeing the occasional 15 film.

My 12 yo has never been asked in Odeon , could you try there? How tall is she? Ds is very tall do may be why he's never been asked.
