We are going to Blackpool in September (first week) from Sunday -Wednesday
We have booked the zoo
What else can we do?

  • Take the lift to the top of Blackpool Tower and look out from the viewing platform (or stand on the glass floor bit if you're feeling really brave 😁 )
  • The comedy carpet in front of the Tower, can spend ages reading all the quotes from different sitcoms)
  • The Sandcastle (waterpark swimming pool on seafront)

-The Pleasure Beach theme park (obviously!)

Go to Lytham instead.

You've not specified if you have children and ages so I've included a variety of things

  • Trip to Stanley Park across from the zoo - walk round, play in the park, go on the boats, have an ice cream, skateboarding.
  • Walk through the Illuminations - the switch on is Fri 2nd September.
  • Fish and chips and freshly cooked donuts from Bispham - can catch a tram
  • Blackpool tower/eye
  • Sandcastle
  • Go visit Cleveleys/Fleetwood/Lytham/St Anne's - can catch a tram to Cleveleys and Fleetwood
  • Walk along the beach/ make sandcastles. Just keep an eye on tide times.
  • Arcades at the piers/Coral Island
  • Pleasure Beach
  • Miniature village (next to Stanley Park)
  • Sealife Centre
  • Madame Tussaud's waxworks
  • Peter Rabbit experience
  • Circus inside the Tower building
  • The Hole in the Wand Wizard mini golf that has recently opened
  • Dino mini golf inside the tower building
  • driving trip to the Flower Bowl at Barton Grange for mini golf, curling and cinema and a walk along the canal. It's just off the M55 before M6
  • meals at many places - lots of good restaurants in Lytham, St Anne's, Blackpool, Bispham, Cleveleys, Poulton. My favourites are a tapas restaurant in Bispham called Mi Casa Su Casa, and a Mexican in Poulton called Cincos.

Look at Blackpool Shows and Attractions Facebook page and Visit Blackpool website.
