I highly doubt it but hey. I reported that my son was no longer a relevant other child on my husband’s case in October last year. At the same time, there was a shared care adjustment so his payment went up. We thought all was sorted. Anyway, he’s now been told he has to pay £100 a month more and has £800 arrears as the relevant other child (my son) wasn’t removed after all.
Anyway, we’ve told the CMS we don’t want to claim the arrears back from his ex-wife as it’s hardly fair that she’s penalised for their error.
Has anyone ever complained to the CMS and successfully received a refund directly from them due to their incompetence? Thanks.
