Blood in stool

Posting here for traffic. Also not a poo troll.
I just went to the loo and there was a small pink puddle at the bottom of the loo after a bowel movement. There was no blood when I wiped though. I have noticed red bits in my stool for last 2 weeks (but they appeared to be chunky pieces not blood IYSWIM). Anyway it has completely terrified me and I don't know what to do as I am currently overseas for a month. Also this all seemed to start when I had covid.

Have you been eating anything red like beetroot?

No. The only red food I've had last few days is I had pizza earlier so the tomato sauce on the base. The blood in the bowl was more pinkish a bit like period blood when that collects at the bottom of the loo (it's defo not my period though)

Could be piles or a fissure. Try not to worry it's the dark tarry stools that are more concerning. Get checked out when you get home

Thanks. I plan to get checked out when I'm home. Just feel like the stress and anxiety are going to ruin the rest of the trip for me now.
