Camp site recommendations

Looking for recommendations for somewhere to go camping with DH and DS7.

I am in Liverpool and looking for somewhere to go up to two hours drive away.

I would like somewhere that has a pub or restaurant on site or at least in walking distance, has nice places to explore nearby and has decent showers

Can anyone recommend anywhere good? We are quite new to the camping game - having only been twice in a borrowed tent, we have bought our own one that we want to break in!

Bit further than 2 hours but cannot recommend this place more. My parents used to take me as a child and I’ve been taking my son for 15 years now for holidays. It’s lovely.

Masons campsite in North Yorkshire was one of our favourites. It's on a river with a mini river running off it and there is a tyre swing. There are two pubs within a few minutes walk.

Nearby you have Skipton Castle, Bolton Abbey with stepping stones over the river and a Steam Railway.
