Dolce Gusto descaling help please

I have a bog standard Dolce Gusto coffee machine and can't for the life of me find out how to descale it. Some webpages say you have to use a special pod and liquid, others say just use a descaling liquid but on eBay it comes up with normal descaling tablets which would obviously be cheaper. What's the easiest/cheapest way please? Thanks

I use the Oust all purpose descaler in mine and it works great, all instructions are on the pouch, you can get a dolce gusto bottle of descaler but I never have & I have my machine nearly 3 years, always used the Oust as I can buy it with my shopping

Thank you. I have a bottle of descaler but it doesn't mention coffee machines. Can I ask how you descale yours please?

I use vinegar as a descaler in my dolce gusto, my kettle, my washing machine...everything really!

Funkyslippers · 01/08/2022 17:44

cecinestpasunepipe is that white vinegar? I saw some instructions that said to put the vinegar in the main water part and turn it to hot as normal and let it go through the system. Does that work effectively or is there another way?

Use the same dilution as you would for a kettle in the reservoir. Run through the machine, maybe twice with another descaled mix. Run plain water through several times afterwards.

Thanks everyone! I couldn't find any white vinegar or Oust liquid but got some Oust stuff that you add to water. Did it fine but the damn orange descaling light wouldn't go off. After a quick look on YouTube I figured it out. Sorted!
