Mum to two DC, 22 months and 10 week old.

Have spent DC1s entire nap time trying to get DC2 to stop screaming and go to sleep. I now have 3 minutes before I need to wake up DC1 or they won’t sleep tonight!! I am exhausted physically mentally and emotionally and in need of a pick me up.

Breastfeeding DC2 so can’t really go out i.e. cinema, afternoon with a friend or anything.

trying not to rely on the usuals, comfort food and wine!

please hit me up with any ideas thank you

A new book, either a physical one if you can pop out or order on Amazon or download one? I'm sure there are lots of feel good easy reads out at the moment as its summer holiday season.

A new lipstick usually does it for me but I'm not sure if you would feel the same of you are tied to home a lot.

Hope it starts to get easier soon. X

A new book to read is a great idea thank you! Been meaning to reduce screen time before bed so a couple of chapters and an early night tonight is the plan.

DC2 is stirring already 🫠 so may as well make the most of it and have a trip to the library. Can get DC1 some books too and hopefully keep them entertained for a bit before bath time. Wish me luck!
