Help.. my house is haunted (maybe, possibly, a little bit)

We’ve lived here nearly 3 years, it’s a semi but only 2 houses (standalone) backed onto woodland (woodland is open to our back garden)- house built in 1920, were the third owners.

I got the nicest feeling when we viewed the house, it was an elderly ladies house (she brought up her family here since the 60s), very old fashioned, high ceilings, big rooms. Ever since we moved in noises are heard; loud bangs even when we’re in the room, the woodland has a public footpath and when we’re out in the garden in the evening we have on occasion heard people running down the path running and shouting because they’ve seen something they can’t explain (this has happened a few times) dh also had to give someone cpr, a seemingly fit man walking with his wife dropped to the floor, cue his wife screaming for help and us trying to get help and dh bringing him back, every time I’ve brought a baby home from the hospital (2 so far) I see a little girl run through our kitchen and back out again (she has long black hair tied in a ribbon, dark knee length dress, dark tights and is around 5 years old) my dd is very fair haired with shoulder length curly hair so not her. We get orbs on the baby’s monitors every night, we’ve shown friends and family and they can’t believe it as they definitely have shape but nothing like a fly and not erratic or fly like that and too big for dust. We’ve heard a large and heavy swivel chair creak and turn with what sounds like an elderly gentleman hum from the corner of what was the dc playroom, it’s now a living room, this morning me and dc sat watching CBeebies and in the exact spot the swivel chair was (now part of a corner sofa) my dd (6) turned to me shocked and said mummy I just saw a ghost right there, it was a little girl in red and she lifted up and disappeared 😭 almost every time I’m in the kitchen I feel something at bum height brush past me.

My dd refuses to go into other dc’s rooms on a good day but is now refusing to go anywhere in the house on her own. What would you do?

We’re not part of a religion but I am spiritual and same as dd, when I was very young I also saw a young girl crawl across my gp’s landing and it terrified me - their house was a new build but built on part of an old Catholic Churches cemetery, lots happened to gp and other family in the house- I’ve never told dd this though!

It does sound a bit odd. Quite friendly though (except for the CPR bit, but that was probably coincidence).
It sounds as if there is another happy family living there with you 💖

Wow! My old house was haunted, I always felt safe though and dc weren't scared. They don't sound like malevolent spirits, maybe just sat out loud that they are scaring dd and to please stop?

I agree. Speak to them out loud. Tell them you'll look after their house, but they have to go now as they're frightening your family.
Do this a few times around the house.
It worked for me and have read this advice so many times so it must have worked for others, too.

You could try a sage cleanse too but you said you got good energy from the house which is probably a lot to do with your extra occupants.

Good idea! I’ll order a smudge and get cleansing.. thank you!

Good idea or bad idea to do it infront of 6 year old dd? 🤔
