Tie-dye experts, hit me up!

My kids have spent all day tie-dying with a kit from The Works which has turned out to be, quelle surprise, a bit shit. All the items looked great when rinsed under cold water but after a 30deg machine wash, loads of dye has come out and most of the colours have faded. Some have disappeared completely. They'll be SO disappointed 😳 - they're been so careful with the dyes and the patterns, and so excited about it. I could bloody scream!!

Can anyone recommend some more reliable dyes? I used to tie dye many years ago with Dylon hand dyed, which needed salt - they worked really well but you could only use one dye at a time as you.had to submerge the fabric and leave it for an hour or so. The good thing about the kit from The Works was that you could squirt different colours onto one item and had some control over them.

Any advice gratefully received!

Tulip tie dyes. I leave 24 hours before washing and the colours are lovely and bright
