Extremely worried about husband - what can I do?

Husband has some rare chronic immune conditions. He also suffers from headaches and had something migraine-like last year.

This week he had a sudden severe one sided headache, pain in his face and jaw on one side, a drooping eyelid on one side and cold hands. On advice from 111 he went to A&E. They did not scan him and said on the basis of observation that it was a migraine. The headache and the other symptoms have waxed and waned the last few days. Today he also has muscle aches and is very fatigued. He’s getting a covid test.

We have a GP appointment for him tomorrow but I’m beside myself with worry and I just don’t know what we should do. This seems very atypical for a migraine. Is there anything we should be looking for or asking about? Has anyone experienced anything like this?

I suffer pretty similar when I get cluster headaches. I’m also a migraine sufferer and the neurologist says it is mostly migraine sufferers that also get cluster headaches. The eye droop always made me wonder if I was having a stroke but it now happens when I’m about to have a migraine too so it’s become an early warning sign. Cold hands can be common with a migraine and they, and cluster headaches, always leave me feeling as if I’ve got flu I’m so fatigued and sore.
Hopefully it’s just (I say ‘just’, it’s excruciating!) something like that rather than anything serious.
I hope the dr can offer you both some reassurance.

Unless he deteriorates in the meantime, go to the GP appointment tomorrow. If you don't get anywhere and he continues to have symptoms, then I'd go back to A&E.

Could be TIA’s. Jaw pain in the left could be heart attack.
He definitely needs to see the GP. Is he still under a consultant ?
