What's the best title to future proof my career?

My boss is making noises of more responsibility and a promotion. I think it could go two ways: I could either add "manager" or "strategic/senior" to my current role. Personally I think the former is the "better" option, especially considering I'm aiming for a director role in the next couple of years.

Yep, I'd go with manager. (I am responsible for recruiting to director level in my organisation if that makes any difference.)

Thank you! Does it make any difference if it's TL over Manager? To me TL sounds more junior.
