Dropping nap before nursery / preschool?

Random question, but should 3 year olds have dropped their nap before starting pre-school nursery? My DD will be 3 in the summer right before starting nursery (attached to local primary) in the Sept. Will she need to have dropped nap? (It's a whole year away so I'm not worrying but it's a thought I had).

Nursery hours are 9-3.

Yes school nursery won't facilitate a nap... both of mine were 2 when they dropped their naps.

Yes, if it's 9-3pm at a school nursery they won't have nap time.

In my experience, a school nursery will have an area like the book corner with cushions where children can take an occasional nap or have a rest if they are unusually tired, but they expect children to be able to do the whole session without needing a regular nap. The summer before they start nursery is a good time to drop naps - if you are out and about a lot with days out and activities, it sort of breaks the nap habit.
