Complicated electric bill problem - help!!!

My DM died at the beginning of the month. I notified the electric company and they have sent a letter worded, "To [her] executors, Your final electric bill." This bill covers 24 days and is estimated. Wildly overestimated!!! They have said about 500 units will have been used and the cost is £200. Well I have just taken a meter reading and only about 37 units have been used since the last reading.

On the letter it said if you think we have overestimated, give us a meter reading. So I went on thier website and it says this account is now closed, no meter readings can be given.

WTF am I supposed to do?! Just paying it doesn't sit right with me as it's so far over what we have used.

For context I had only paid the previous bill one week ago, that was £700 for three months and that was when DM's medical equipment was on 24/7.

HELP!

Call them up and give them the readings. They will be able to do it that way.
