Ear piercing incorrect place, daughter upset

Both My daughter got their ears pierced yesterday after I was nagged for months . My eldests piercings are perfect .so when the youngest had the dots placed on her ears I checked the dots were in the right place and they looked even and in the shop after they were done they looked good .

However when I cleaned them I noticed one is lower and slightly further away than the other .
I'm kicking myself that I didn't notice it

It's not something I can ignore , the person who did it used the gun (please don't give me hate )

The lady told me she would have to remove them and wait 6 weeks .

I will be taking her to a piercing studio next time and have it done with a needle .

My question is this .

If I take her to the studio and the new hole will be far enough away will they do it again and not wait the 6 weeks,
(She has a lot of earlobe space ,and looking at the holes there would be a bigger gap between holes) .

If you have taken the earring straight out then it should heal over fairly quickly. Personally I would wait though, to allow her body time to heal.

Hopefully others will read this and heed the warning of guns and piercings. No hate here, you have learnt the hard way one of the reasons they should not be used. I would take it out and let it completely heal and get it done at a professional (no true professional piercer would use a gun) place who uses needles and have better hygiene standards than places who use guns.

How old is she? Many proper piercing places don’t accept children

I’d take them out now, let them heal up properly then get them done again with a needle in 6 weeks. It’s worth waiting to make sure nothing goes wrong - you wouldn’t t want the healing ‘old’ hole being irritated by the new earring. Best to let it heal right up then go for attempt two!

How wonky are they if it looked ok in the shop? Are her ears symmetrical?

this happened to me 20 years ago and it still bothers me. Let it heal up and wait until it’s safe to redo it (even if that’s 6 weeks)
