Complete blocked nose which randomly suddenly run, sore throat abd glands, and a constant ticklycough. (I have used my last lft, negative)

Ahhh, sorry for you, OP, 🤧😷 my side of the family always suffered horribly with colds (mine were legendary at school, used to get told not to come in when I had one!!)
Can only offer the standard advice of Vicks Vapour rub or Olbas Oil for your breathing, steam inhaling also can help, but doesn’t last obvs.
Rest is vital as is as much sleep, whatever time of day you get the chance. Hot soups & plenty of black pepper help with sweating it out, as do hot baths and showers to ease congestion and achy bones.
Sadly it’s just a time thing, waiting for it to ease.
I did hear an urban myth that reckons there IS a cure for the common cold but the drug companies make soooo much money from us buying their ‘remedies’. that it will never be made….🤷‍♀️ Who knows??
You’ll be back to normal soon, OP💐

Thank you. Its just utterly miserable isn't it. I'm loathe to sleep in the day, I'd rather sleep at night but that dudnt go well last night. I git an hour or so around 6am. Still bloody coughing and sniffling. And sweating.

My kid has this at the minute and it is miserable. Feels like there's very little that you can actually give a kid for it either.

My youngest son started it. He was so miserable abd grumpy with it abd now I know why! Although he did at least sleep.

I’m the same. Colds completely knock me out.

It is a type of coronavirus - and if Covid has taught us anything it’s that how people’s bodies respond to viruses varies massively from person to person. Some people had Covid and didn’t even know it while some ended up in hospital and then everything in between .
So anyone who tells me ‘oh it’s ‘just’ a cold’ because they just get a bit of a sniffle from one can piss off!

Sympathies as I also have it

It's in our house at the moment too! Kids are feeling rotten. We have albas oil, calpol plug ins, and pain relief by the bucket load.

Argh and here I am again. No sleep today though did rest a bit. Exhausted now, but sore throat, cough, blocked nose etc preventing me falling/staying asleep.
.
I've had lemsip nigt tablets. I have some children's benelyn night cough syrup, wondering whether to try that.
