This is really outing so I’ve done a really boring name change sorry!
My dd was premature (not quite at due date yet but has been home with us for 3 weeks following 5 in scbu) and recently re admitted to picu with a lung infection meaning she was on a ventilator plus lots of medication for 4 days. She wasn’t fed initially then was back on Ng tube feeds.
we finally got home today and since discharging from picu and returning to our local hospital (and now at home) she has wanted to breastfeed pretty much continuously. She won’t be put down or settle to sleep much. I am happy to do what she needs but just wanted to see if anyone had experience of this; will it even out? Might she be feeding for connection? Could it be sore throat etc? It’s been a massive week and I’m exhausted- just looking for an idea as to what I might expect in next few days?
