Weight loss - trying to prevent facial sagging

I’ve taken control of my over indulgence of wine and food, I’m on a regime that will work (I’ve done it before but several years ago and kept weight off for several years but it’s creeped back on) I plan to loose weight, I’m exercising to try to build muscle tone, I’m 48.

my BMI isn’t massive, 26, I’m just shy of 13 stone, size 16. but I feel fat and bloated, hence embarking on this new regime. I’m also concerned about the health impact of drinking.

what can I do to help my face? I’m a smiler, I have crows feet, my forehead is ok. Is Botox or fillers a good option now before weight comes off? I’m conscious that I might look haggered when thinner. Tips?

Dunno, but book marking. I am same age as you but a great deal fatter.

I think it’s partly that if you are overweight but otherwise healthy, your face can be youthfully puffed out, which makes you look longer. So when you loose weight, it’s not that excess weight has caused sagging it’s that that’s what normal weight people of your age look like.

Also, facial massage? And there are some face exerciser gadgets. I am sure someone will be along shortly.

I am 50 and lost 2 stone over the last year on a fitness regime. I lost the weight really quickly and I did get some sagging in my face, but my body and neck escaped quite well I think. Anyway, I did go down the fillers and Botox route and love it. A very personally decision as I know this is not for everyone, but it sort of restored my face and made me look like me again.

Supposedly the autophagy triggered by fasting has an anti-ageing effect. You would need to do an intermittent fasting routine such as 5:2 or 16:8.
