Does sellotape last ok if you wrap gifts in advance?

We will be travelling to my parents for Christmas and I'm thinking that I might buy and wrap all my gifts when I'm there for 2 weeks in October so then when we are there for Christmas I can just pull them out and it's one less thing to think about at a busy time. But would the sellotape hold up? I'd buy the expensive brand name sellotape if it made a difference...

Expensive own brand sellotape yes. If stored carefully and not in direct sunlight or a warm spot.

Yes it will be fine

Or add parcel string as well, if you want to be really sure. Should be fine, though.

I have been decluttering and had things with sellotape (don't know if it's branded or not) still well stuck after years!

I wrap mine as I buy them throughout the year, some are wrapped for nearly 10 months and are absolutely fine 😊 as long as they're stored out of direct sunlight.

Oh I forgot it's also my son's birthday 20th December so even more incentive to get it all bought and wrapped well in advance (birthday will be at my parents too)
