What shall I spend £32 on in Lidl?

I’m £32 away from the £10 off our next shop on the Lidl plus app. Thanks to the wonderful 100% Gousto referral links shared earlier this week I’ve got 4 meal kits arriving tomorrow so the only fresh thing we need is some salad stuff for lunches. Last time I went to Lidl it was ‘whoopsie’ time and we have enough meat in the freezer. Don’t need bread (only eat it one week a month 😭) or milk (I make my own oat milk).

I’m determined to get this £10 off, and yes I understand logically that it is costing me £32 but with all these price increases I am not opposed to starting a small stockpile.

so…what would you get?

And no, not £32 worth of pretzels and brownies from the bakery 😂

Some of the washing powder and fabric conditioner

Loo rolls and kitchen rolls

Tins of tomatoes and some of their passata (sp?)

Cooking oil. Olive oil. Butter.

Long life orange and apple juice. Some of the flavoured water.

Coffee (their ground coffee is fine)

ImJustNotMeAnymore · 29/07/2022 23:33

Chocolate, cereals, wraps, cakes, tinned goods - beans, tomatoes, and jarred sauces.

If you use them, sanitary products, and toiletries.

Antarcticant · 29/07/2022 23:35

They've got 4-packs of Oral-B electric toothbrush heads in from Sunday, so I'd stock up on them (if you have a compatible electric toothbrush) as they'll always come in. Also Silent Night pillow pairs.

Alternatively you could buy lots of wine and chocolate Grin

LadyHelenaJustina · 29/07/2022 23:39

Tinned tomatoes, tuna, passata, cooking oil, washing powder, toothpaste... all the things that won't go off and can be easily stored.

Rot · 29/07/2022 23:40

Booze. Obviously.

JamMakingWannaBe · 29/07/2022 23:42

School uniform is coming into stock - albeit this might be next month.

I've just bought a mosaic patio table (£19.99) and a cordless hedge trimmer (£14.99).

minuette1 · 29/07/2022 23:43

I'd go for tinned and frozen stuff like tinned tuna/sweet corn/chick peas and frozen berries, chips, ice cream and vegetables if you want to start to build a stash, also I really like their gin in a tin, so some of those too, as well as dried pasta.

FlatBottomedGirl · 29/07/2022 23:47

Dishwasher tablets. Olive oil. Wine. Cheese.

User478 · 29/07/2022 23:47

Something from the middle of Lidl then return it? (Or not)

Howmanysleepsnow · 29/07/2022 23:52

Own brand dishwasher tablets.
breaded chicken, pittas and coleslaw for an easy meal.
Patatas bravas and croquettes from Iberian week. Also some dark chocolate covered pastry twist things.
The sliced potatoes with bacon from the fridge.
spreadable butter with sea salt
microwaveable quinoa/ grain/ lentil sachets
Ritter sport
kabanossi (polish dried sausage things)
halloumi with basil/ chilli
socks (very soft and comfy)
kids smoothies
cookie and cream ice cream bars
fake soleros
frozen paella
then spend the last £5 on the bakery/ wine/ flowers

PlanetNormal · 29/07/2022 23:54

This stuff. It’s wine for people who like red wine, and a bargain at £7.

Loo roll, laundry products, sanpro, toiletries, baking ingredients, picnic items.

theniceunderstandingone · 30/07/2022 03:10

Can you apply for those Gousto vouchers more than once?
I might do another if it's allowed...
