... people from lower socio - economic backgrounds always tend to wear coats on really hot days or all summer?

I keep noticing it and just cannot stop. They also seem to dress their children in warm clothing too. Think trousers, coats and boots when it's 20° outside.

I have never noticed this, in fact I don't recall seeing anyone in a winter coat or light summer jacket at all today. The only people who wear too much on hot days are grumpy teenagers, usually the ones who refuse to wear a coat all winter.

MN the special place where people put on a coat to go out when the temp is 25c.
Then turn off central heating when it gets above 10c in their home.
