Do any UK police forces use Audis or Mercedes ?

If any do, I've never seen one. I'm in West Yorkshire and most of the police cars I see are Peugeots. I think the likes of Volvo, Subaru and even BMW do the traffic and motorway stuff. The days of Maestro panda cars and Rover SD1s are long gone but I've yet to see a police Audi or Mercedes.

So the Audi A3 does police work but no mention of the Mercedes. Perhaps the latter is lacking somewhat. Who knows ?

Police cars are often gifted by companies, when I worked on the rural policing team we got a 4x4 truck, can’t quite recall the make sorry so really just depends. Obviously the vast majority are leased/bought. Our CID team often had a hire car from the local small car company, that was really what they had at the time.
