Do you believe in possession & demons?

Watched a documentary recently where the murderer claimed he was possessed by a demon….. I understand he had mental health problems.
but anyway I thought I’d ask, do you believe in demons, ghosts, etc and if you do what made you believe?

Just because you're interested. This is the most interesting and compelling case for demonic possession and also for demonic possession being mistaken for epilepsy OR vice versa.

I think the vast majority of people who have been 'possessed', or whom others claim to have been possessed, have sadly been suffering from severe acute or chronic mental illness.

Some people have been astonishingly badly treated or even killed by so-called 'exorcists', even in very recent times.

So, no, I don't believe in possession or demons or djinns, but I do believe that extreme cases of mental illness can present in a very frightening way, and those suffering are very vulnerable and deserve understanding, support and better care.

I absolutely believe in it because of things that I have seen. I had an uncle who at one point in their life was a satanist and used to have a satanic bible. (They eventually found a good path in life) but I went along to some of the meetings that group held and it was very strange. I also suffered from a bad case of sleep paralysis for a period of time. It was that vivid and Intense I was scared to go to sleep. One night I was searching the internet and found a prayer. Had no thoughts about religion before this but it stopped my sleep paralysis after a few nights. I was conscious in my dreams and able to do or manipulate things if that makes sense. It was basically astral projection. Since this experience it’s made me terrified of the beyond. (There’s a lot more too it that this obviously!)
