When I've had that sort of sum I've spent it on things like informal jewellery from somewhere like John Lewis, M&S or Joe Browns - you can get a nice casual necklace and earrings for that sort of money.

Yes look at the sales on jewellery x

Impatientwino · 27/07/2022 22:09

I'd buy some really nice soft pjs/loungewear, some yellow roses and a lovely bottle of Chablis

2pinkginsplease · 27/07/2022 22:10

My first thought would be a new pair of converse or a new bag.

saltwaterandsuncream · 27/07/2022 22:11

A massage.

If you're not sure there is anything you want/need, you could be boring but sensible & invest it in your ISA / SIPP.

Curlusu · 27/07/2022 22:13

A day trip somewhere beautiful

HelloBunny · 27/07/2022 22:17

A good rummage in M&S Sale.
Followed by nice tea & cake.

IAmSantaOhYesIAm · 27/07/2022 22:18

Oh what a lovely treat!!
what do you like doing? Reading? Buy a brand new book after browsing in a lovely bookshop. sewing? Spend an hour in the fabric shop then buy some.
Id do both of these things, then I’d treat myself to a bottle of wine, a nice box of chocs that would be just for me and tea and cake in a litre cafe somewhere!

If it's for your mum, a trip out with you and a pub lunch would be lovely

HernamewasMary · 27/07/2022 22:24

@HernamewasMary Same if it's from your mum

mac1974 · 27/07/2022 22:49

Jo Malone bath oil (think about £20)
Book...hardback always feels extravagant
Nice wine
Take away...Chinese. Nobody else in my house likes it.
Oh then some crisps to have later after the wine!

I bought myself these shoes, for £59 today.
I'm going to buy some of the other colours when I have some more money.
