Question about leasehold

I am really confused whether my property is leasehold or freehold I didn't think it was but have found a lease in our mortgage documents however the land registry document says something about the second schedule and something granted to the transferee?
I've no idea what any of this means I was only early twenties when we bought and my mind is boggled

House or flat?
Wording from freehold transfers can be noted on leasehold titles.

It's a house

Number 1 of the property register that has your name and the property address on will say freehold or leasehold.
If it’s freehold, the lease could be solar panels.

Do you pay ground rent? If not it is very likely to be freehold.

I wonder if you are in a similar position to me, the house itself is leasehold however I own the freehold.

You don't me necessarily pay ground rent on freehold houses. Our ground rent is set at £1 a year but it costs more in administration to collect it than the rent so they dont bother.

It's giving me such a headache I have no idea where I'd find this out

You can find out from your mortgage provider or you can search the land registry for a modest fee.

We found that the house we had bought freehold was showing as both freehold and leashold on the LR online documents. The leasehold should have been removed some time ago & for some reason wasn't. We went back to the solicitor who did our conveyancing and they got the leasehold bit removed.

This may not be the same situation as yours but if you bought the house freehold with no mention of a leasehold - it might be worth investigating
