We all seem to have had somewhat similar transformations although the travelling and ex pat sounds great!

1. Miserable childhood fraught with anxiety.
2. Making my own way in the world in a new city, being independent, finding my feet and my first relationship.
3. Three years in another city doing the career thing.
4. Absolute mental breakdown.
5. Starting again, new city, new home, new job.
6. The wasted years.
7. I'm a mother! And that's all I was, for two good years.
8. New relationship, new life, unexpected and fantastic new beginnings.
9. Treading the boards.
10. Married housewife. Here I sit.

Looking forward to another four tumultuous decades.

I still live abroad although the travelling has rather comprehensively been knocked on the head by 3 small kids (for now..!)
