Name changed for this as could be outing, I’m a long time MN regular.

DD is late teens and has recently been having bleeds, been to a and e and is now under care of the same day urgent care unit.
The medics have tested for blood disorder and are also looking at other investigations too, in case the source of the bleeding is surgical.
We are waiting for the blood results to come back and then will know more.

I’ve been okish until today, I researched the disease they have tested for, and it’s genetic. My DM had a clotting disorder, and looking at the symptoms, it would appear that I have had symptoms of the same.

This had thrown up a lot of upset for me, not about me but about DD.
DM was chronically unwell for many years, the disorder was not known about until she had an operation which she haemorrhaged after and had ongoing health issues which led to her early death.

I know that, medically, if this is the diagnosis for DD she will be on treatment and the risks to her will be reduced.
I’m just so worried about her, and struggling to keep it together today.
