I want to paint white painted pine dressing table purple

I have had it for years. It previously belonged to my daughter and I have it now. It's white with a mirror and I want to paint it a deep shade of purple and maybe even do the drawers in differing shades of purple and pink. (maybe not)
Will it look a bugger? Am I being a hippie?
The rest of my house is pretty conservative - the usual greys and blues. It would be a 'pop of colour' as they say....
What do you think ?

How sad will you be if it goes wrong? If very little or not at all, go for it and have fun. If a lot , maybe attempt first a lighter colour as practice, or just leave it be.

Well why ever not if it makes you happy. I’m very envious you have the time for a lovely craft project.

I painted a load of pine furniture white and loved it, if it's what you want then go for it. I think it'll look great as a pop of colour - not sure about doing all the drawers different colours, often best to keep it simple. You could do inside the drawers in a different colour though, that could look really nice when you open them.

I would love that! Purple’s my favourite colour ❤️ Just do it mate! Prepare carefully sending etc. Maybe some jazzy new handles for drawers. I found some beautiful ones for my repainted bathroom drawers - black starfish 🙂
