Builder parking revenge (lighthearted)

(Had to NC as my gousto code had my name 🤦🏼‍♀️)

On Monday, there was a car we didn't recognise parked on our drive but we were out / busy so didn't think much of it and it was gone by 4.

Yesterday the car is there again but we didn't see the person park it so had no idea who the owner was. Checked with our immediate neighbours and they have no idea. At about 4 o'clock my husband was doing some stuff in the garage when the owner (young guy in overalls) comes to the car. Husband said "this is our drive you can't park here" and he just said "don't worry I'm going now" and left.

This morning, car is there AGAIN. Luckily a neighbour saw that he was doing building work a few doors down from us so I went to the house, the owners weren't in so I stuck my head round them door and asked him to move it. He rolled his eyes, took ages packing up something then moved it, onto the road right next to our drive (annoying but whatever).

So my question is... if (I think it will) the same happens tomorrow, what do I do? My husband is out with the car today but won't be tomorrow so I could block him in when I get back from the nursery run. A friend suggested nails in front of the tyres but that's a bit much.. the CF had pissed me off with his general attitude so I know it's petty but if he does it again I want revenge!! 😈

If you could get a second car on the drive and block him like that, definitely do it.
Or, go park on the drive where the work is being done?
Tonne of gravel delivered after he has arrived, so he needs to move it all before he can go home?

Place the bins at the end of the drive ?
Ask your neighbour to tell him in appropriate thing to do
say he can park there - £25 per day. nice little earner

Actually sounds like my builder neighbour who is a massive CF. If it's him (surname begins with a T...), I'll hold him down and you get the shovel 😈Otherwise - it's more of an offense to block access to the highway than it is to park on someone's drive, unbelievably. Bird food all over the bonnet and windscreen so birds shit all over it maybe?

Block him in and when he wants to leave, don’t answer the door or say your husband has gone out with the keys. And speak to the neighbour hiring him about his crappy behaviour.

WeAreTheHeroes · 27/07/2022 11:59

Yeah, speak to the neighbour he's doing the work for. Mind you, they may have suggested using your drive as you're usually out during the day. At least you'll find out if they're a CF too.

Good point on the neighbours being CF also, I'll go back round later when they are back..

Bins / blocking sounds good. Our immediate neighbours have offered to use their cars too as they have no time for cheeky fuckery.

Bird food idea js so funny.. I do have some stale bread I could just leave it on there and see what happens...

Last time my motorbike was blocked in, I knocked in and was told he’d be out when he was ready. My answer was “he’ll have four flat tyres by then”. He actually ran past me to get there first.
Never blocked me in again either.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/07/2022 12:11

No to nails and tyres ( just No , I mean who even does this ?)
No to bread as it's bad for the birds and they'll just swipe it and shit elsewhere .
Don't you have any bacon rind , it sticks well , chop it up and they;ll stay to enjoy it and leave their Thank You .

But you know you have to do the nursery run on foot and leave your car in the drive , right up to the boundary fence so CF Builder cannot park there .
Take One For The Team Grin

DietCokeExtraIce · 27/07/2022 12:46

Could arrange bacon rind.. yeah parking on the drive and staying put is the obvious solution but it's much less fun 😃

I would smear private parking on his windscreen in peanut butter.
