Eufy help!!

So she’s having a meltdown and she needs to realise that today is not the day for it. She comes off her charger and says ‘start’ but rudely doesn’t finish her sentence and even more rudely doesn’t move or do any cleaning. I’ve cleaned everything and I’ve turned her off and on a zillion times. Can anyone help?!! Or if she’s dead… who should I replace her with? Thanks!

Is your room very sunny? I had an Eufy a few years back but alas he was a vampire and succumbed to sunlight. In his dying moments he behaved such as you describe.

Dust and muck in the on / off switch.

Another really good clean, including the sensors and in the on /off switch. If /when it gets going again, put some gaffer tape or similar over the on /off switch.

Thanks @GoAround! I had no clue they preferred to be kept in the dark. Our guests will probably prefer thst too when they see the state of the floor. Did you replace yours?

Alas our relationship with Eufy is no more. It was replaced with a cousin, sadly they too were a vampire and met their demise in the same fashion. At that point we got a refund and put the money towards, I’m sorry to say, a much superior Roomba. In fairness to Eufy (RIP), I couldn’t fault their customer service as it was all handled quickly and without fuss. Our kitchen was just too bright for it apparently.
