Child benefit after DC is 16

I returned a form to the Child Benefit office several months ago confirming that DS is expected to remain in education in September but have heard nothing back - is this usual, as I'd expected to receive confirmation that CB will continue?

I did this last year and received no confirmation
Child Benefit just continued as normal in the September and onwards

Yep, done it twice now, no confirmation but CB just carried on.
