Spending 2 days in Glasgow and 1 in Edinburgh this weekend with my 16 year old son.

Looking for inspiration for activities that we'd both enjoy.

Any ideas gratefully received.

What does your teen enjoy? In Edinburgh National museum of Scotland always interesting regardless of age. Currently has a history of anatomy exhibition which is sufficiently dark for teens. Camera Obscura has some great exhibits too.

Edinburgh: Surgeon's Hall Museum, National Museum, a walk up Calton Hill for the views over the city. My teen DC liked Mary King's Close and The Edinburgh Dungeons too (I was less keen!) St James' Quarter for shopping. Mary's Milk Bar in the Grassmarket for ice cream.

Glasgow West End: Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, Museum of Transport, Botanic Gardens if it's a sunny day.
Glasgow South Side: Burrell Collection
City centre: Fopp or Mono for vinyl shopping, loads of great places to eat. GFT or Everyman are both lovely cinemas.
