Leeds Bradford Airport

Just wondering if anyone had flown from Leeds Bradford recently?

Could you give an overview of queues etc ?

We are off to Canaries next Friday …

I think they've been like a lot of the others. Some really bad delays some of the time. I've not had direct experience but it's my local airport and have seen news reports about queues.

Although a lot of the problems are being caused by people turning up very early like 4-6 hours or more before their flights, but I think most airlines are asking people to turn up 3 hours ahead at the moment.

Which airline are you flying with? If it's Jet2, they have their own large check in area, which should ease bag drop off somewhat. If you're local and have hold luggage, see if you can use twilight check in - there's a car park where you can park for an hour for free a few minutes walk away which might be good if you have a wheelie case.

We are flying jet2 but can’t use the twilight offer.

Had planned on 2.5 hours before departure for arrival so I need to check if that’s enough.

Were flying to Majorca on Fri with Jet2 from Leeds. Can't bag drop night before so goin to be there 3hrs before. We have also got fast track for security.

@ThirtyTwoTwo no problems at all! Queue for security was huge but with fast track we were thru in about 25 mins.

We have flown with Jet2 and they hav been excellent all the way thru from bag drop to staff in Palma airport.

I am currently enjoying some cava by the pool!

We flew to Majorca a fortnight ago yesterday. Early evening flight. Couldn't get fast track security, we queued from right by the jet2 check in areas (snaking queues) & it took about 1.5 hours to get through. People were being pulled out of the queue for earlier flights to ensure they didn't miss them. That probably contributed to our wait, & some of them were cutting it fine so that was a bit annoying on the one hand, but reassuring that we'd probably be ok. Main reason for delay though was that despite potentially having 5 double desks to check boarding passes, there was only one desk open, the poor chap was checking both the fast track & basic lines...madness! Once we got past him it speeded up. I would recommend arriving 3 hours before.
