If so, which ones?

My 9 year old listens to the Cabin Pressure and anything else John Finnemore has done every night.

on long car journeys he also enjoys Homeschool History and David Walliams’ marvelous classical music one.

hoping more recommendations will crop up on this thread!

Mine doesn't, but I think he might like to!

Greeking Out from National Geographic is good - my kids love that.

They used to like Everything Under The Sun but it's aimed at younger children, I'd say.

Ooh watching for my 9 yr old!

Where would I find these to stream/download please - history, NatGeo and Everything Under the Sun all sound good?

ObviouslyNotNow · 25/07/2022 21:23

Infinite Monkey Cage, Greeking Out, Teach Me A Lesson, and more I can’t remember right now. She listens at bedtime and if she’s drawing or some other quiet activity.

10 yr old here, listens to John Finnemore, Mark Steele's in town, homeschool history

Widgetwiggler · 25/07/2022 21:36

The Curious Cases of Rutherford and Fry in BBC Sounds. Another vote for the Infinite Monkey Cage as well.

Greydogs123 · 25/07/2022 21:47

My dd likes “Something rhymes with purple” and has just started listening to “There’s no such thing as a fish”. Both available on Alexa.

Gubu · 25/07/2022 22:19

I was going to post a similar thread! Cabin pressure has been a big hit here and No Such Thing as a Fish. Selected episodes of The Unbelievable Truth are suitable, not all. Ditto Just a Minute. I must try Rutherford and Fry, I used to listen to that myself.

Gubu · 25/07/2022 22:22

We've also had some good radio plays from GenZ Media, especially 6 minutes.

Dd has an iPhone and uses the podcast app on there, also the BBC app. We have it set so podcasts work at night even when all the other functions switch off. Though it is hard to filter podcasts, so there is a risk of her listening to something unsuitable on the inbuilt podcast player, which we’ve decided to live with. It’s best to stick to the BBC one (which asks for age when you sign up) if you’re really worried about age inappropriate stuff.

This is great, thanks for starting this thread. I’m keen to hear suggestions too
