And could recommend. I’ve seen a couple and they seem to be around £300. Is this reasonable?

Also, did you find it ok learning online?

Does it matter what accreditation you get? The one I’m looking at says it allows you get insured so I guess that’s all that really matters?

Is all the kit set up very expensive?

what kind of time do you find most people want their nails done? I’m guessing evenings and weekends!

Do you get enough customers to make it worthwhile? I don’t need to earn a full time wage but a few hundred a month to help with the cost of living would be great.

I think with a physical skill like this, learning in person would be better if possible - have you looked if there are any physical training schools near you? Near me there are some professional ones, plus courses at the local college. If you're good at this kind of thing already, you might be okay with an online course, but if you can find one in person I think it'd be useful to have someone showing you techniques in real time.

(Not a nail tech, but my sister is, and she taught me to do my own after she was too busy to ever fit me in for an appointment, haha! I'd bought all the pro kit via her suppliers but my own attempts were terrible until she taught me)

Not sure about the shaping drill/buffer (think they can be quite pricey) but all the other stuff you can get for reasonably cheap, just make sure you buy decent stuff or you risk ending up giving clients nasty reactions. My sister swears by Young Nails.

Yes I think I’d rather learn in person but there doesn’t seem to be anywhere locally. I have thought of one more local college I can try so will look into that today. Thank you for your reply.

Have a search on Facebook - lots of independent places near me teach nail skills. Mostly salons with a small teaching arm as opposed to a college course.
