Veg stir fry. Which I started when DP got in from work... He proceeded to take over and turn it into a bowl of actual lava!! My nose is never going to be the same again

The DC had pizza they put their own veggies on

Very easy one for us tonight after I managed to completely mess up a very straightforward meal of chicken burgers yesterday. Confused Hmm

Pork chops, fried.
Potatoes - boiled, squashed with potato masher, plenty of salt and pepper, then fried to crispen up the outside.
Chorizo, butter bean and spinach stew from the freezer.

Roast veg bolognese. Didn't do meat free Monday deliberately we're just having red meat later in the week so we went for a veggie bolognese tonight

Wouldloveanother · 25/07/2022 19:35

Spaghetti bolognese tonight.
Tomorrow is salmon with sweet potato wedges and whatever veg is in the fridge.
Yesterday was crumpets with peanut butter as we had a full roast earlier!

bambi1132 · 25/07/2022 19:36

Spaghetti and meatballs

BeastOfBODMAS · 25/07/2022 19:42

Pasta with a sauce of tinned tomatoes with basil, cheese, blended with carrots. Invented it for the baby yesterday and was really good so we’re having it tonight. With sausages for DH and baked aubergine and garlic big mushroom for me.

For dinner we had fish pie. No tea here on week nights.

Chicken escalopes, crushed new potatoes , asparagus and tender stem broccoli for us and it was gorgeous!

Why is it tea at a weekend?

Elevenerifebruv · 25/07/2022 21:15

Afternoon tea on the weekend, I imagine, no time in the week

We had kedgeree!

If you have a recipe please can you share?

I've tried the BBC recipe and it went down like a fart in a lift.

easyday · 25/07/2022 22:16

We had lamb with minted crust, cubed potatoes with rosemary and mixed veg.

That's just a pot of tea and some sarnies and a slice of cake at dinner time. On posh plates obvs!

@GreenFingersWouldBeHandy @M340
I thought the egg thing was something to do with the bacteria on the shells going into the water. Maybe it's an old wives tale
I don't follow a recipe and this is a bit cheaty but I cook the rice adding some curry powder to the water then cook the fish in foil in the oven then mix it all together with hard boiled eggs peas and spring onions.
