What completely damaging policy will the new Conservative PM inflict on the UK?

David Cameron gave us Austerity and Brexit.
Theresa May brought us GRA reform that kicked off the Self ID shitshow.
Boris Johnson...🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

So how do you think the 2 candidates vying for the top job will fuck things up?

Just one thing?

NightmareSlashDelightful · 25/07/2022 13:49

I’d be concerned about employment rights under Truss, including parental leave, sick pay, and protected characteristic laws.

Sunak — goodness knows, who knows what he actually believes about anything.

Squiff70 · 25/07/2022 13:50

Wait... is there anything left for them to fuck up?

Just one thing?

Nah, fill your boots @LadyGardenersQuestionTime.

@NightmareSlashDelightful, I fear quite a lot of our rights will be discarded under the guise of Freeing Ourselves from EU Law.😨

Both Sunak and Truss are currently selling Thatcherism: The privatisation of national assets and destruction of worker's rights.

IMHO Thatcherism was shit at the time, 40 odd years ago. It looks to be monumentally stupid to try to inflict. Do they really think the voters will go for that shit in 2024?

Once brexit was signed off it was obvious an unshackled Conservative government would go and fuck with workers rights. Why let workers rights get in the way of profits of big business. Once their time is up as an mp, come have a seat on board of directorships.

urbanbuddha · 25/07/2022 16:09

Well there's this...

.....Cleverly 'comfortable' with Boris Johnson joining a Truss-led Government.

Thelnebriati · 25/07/2022 16:18

I think given the recent ''send immigrants to Rwanda'' scandal, it will be something about immigration.

AchillesLastStand · 25/07/2022 16:24

If it’s Liz Truss, it’ll be tax cuts. She’s quite happy for interest rates to soar to enable these cuts and the dire implications it will have for people with mortgages. The woman is a dangerous idiot.

Ammonites · 25/07/2022 16:35

I think Truss will make decisions that tank the pound even lower than it already is.
