What car to get??

The time has come to consider getting a new car and saying goodbye to my little Fiat 500. I'm 26 weeks pregnant and Fifi the Fiat just won't be practical any more!

I don't want anything massive - hubby will be replacing his Mazda 2 to get a bigger 'family' car. I just want something with 5 doors and a bit more boot space for a pram and other baby things. I don't want his Mazda (mileage a bit high and want to treat myself!) but maybe something similarly sized.

Budget no more than £10,000.

Any recommendations?

Do you class an estate car as massive??

If not, Skoda Octavia's are my car of choice.
I'm on my 3rd one and I love it.

If you do class an estate as massive take a look at the Fabia's I've driven those as courtesy cars and my huge Labrador was comfortable in the boot.

My favourite little car was a Suzuki Swift. Relatively high seat, very spacious but small boot.
Lovely and nippy to drive.
Ithink it would be easy to get car seats in though maybe wouldn't fit a full pram.

I had a Mazda 3 which had a great boot and I found it really easy to drive. I'd look for something in that mid-size range.....vauxhall astra, ford focus, vw golf, seat ibiza, honda civic, one of the "bigger" minis etc.
