what do you do in the holidays?

DC older so don't really need much looking after other than taxiing them to stuff. I feel like it's only fair to take on more house stuff but it sometimes feels like I've swapped my regular job, which I mostly love, for one as a housekeeper which I very much don't! I kind of miss the days where I could have a lovely day out somewhere and consider it 'work' as I was doing the childcare and DH would tidy up and make tea for when we got in!

Should add, only a very lighthearted moan, know I'm lucky to have the holiday and actually quite enjoying pottering round while listening to R2. I have nice things planned too! Just wondered if anyone had any better strategies for organising their time

Currently this holiday I am packing and cleaning as we are moving (just waiting upon exchange and completion dates)

DH is in the office, DS in nursery Mon to Weds. DH working from home Thurs and Fri, so I'll be taking day trips with DS.

Can't say the whole cleaning and packing thing is fun, but the end result is what's keeping me going.
