Has anyone got these? DD is 12 and really wants prescription sunglasses but I thought these might be a cheap alternative. All the ones online look huge. Any recommendations please?

Hi @TickledOnion did you have any luck finding anything? I want to get some clip on sunglasses for my 6 year old. I've just bought him new Miyosmart lenses (as his perscription was worsening quickly) which were very expensive, so I don't want to buy perscription glasses as well!

Hi @StaringAtTheWater I just found this thread hoping for the exact same thing as you. My 7 year old has just started wearing miyosmart glasses. Have you found anything? Out optician says clip ons do exist but would need to order them in and I would like to look at them first to check they are not how I remember clip oms were!

I've used them before , they have a range of sizes and shapes in big Boots stores. They do the job and look fine if you get the right shape and size. I do find it annoying having to put them on and off though when I'm going in and outside.

I have transitions lenses now and they're great, they just darken when I'm in bright light and sort themselves out.

I thought they were large because the optician cuts them to fit the frames?

@Lackofimagination I ordered these ones from amazon and they arrived today. They seem nice and light, but they are a bit bigger than his glasses and so they look a tad odd on. But DS seemed very pleased with them, and as the primary purpose is to protect his eyes from the sun, if he's happy, I'm happy. We will see how it goes wearing them for a significant amount of time. I'll report back when we finally get some proper sun!
