Gym / hair wash ideas

Random question but for those who go to the gym regularly what do you do about washing your hair. First world problems I know!

I used to go to the gym in an evening twice a week and would wash my hair there and that was fine.

Now I'm thinking of rejoining the gym but my schedule has changed and l will now be able to go most weekday mornings. But I'll potentially need to wash my hair after every session? Or do people who gym regularly just wait until the next day and hope it ok?

Or like if I took the DC swimming on Sunday afternoon id need to wash it after that but then I'd be going the gym on Mon morning so would wash it again then

Random I know! Maybe I'm way overthinking this 🤣

I dont wash my hair every day even though I go to classes 5 or 6 days a week.

If I do cardio and I sweat then I wash my hair.
If I do weights I don't bother.
I try to spread out the workouts so if I do

Weights upper
Weights lower
Cardio (wash hair)

Depending on your hair I would wear it up on a high bun for working out, don't wash it every time you go to the gym and use dry shampoo. The dry shampoo will dry the sweat and grease

I find I only need to wash my hair after classes I get very hot doing, so usually after dance classes rather than yoga, weights or running.

I have quite long hair so don't like to wash it more than twice a week, but obviously need to sometimes after exercise. It will partly depend on your hair type, I suppose, but I've been co washing, or rinsing with plain water. People also use things like rosemary or apple cider vinegar rinses, but obviously check this would be suitable first.

Agree with the high bun. It helps me keep cooler. Also a headband as alternative (mine has a gap for a low ponytail to go through).

I think the general advice is rinse with water between washes to remove sweat but don't shampoo.

I shower and wash
my hair every time I go the gym or swimming. Saves my metered water and energy at home!

But I have short no fuss hair. I just was it, dry it, put ‘product’ in and go.

Would depend on how much you sweat.
I wash mine twice a week. Don't sweat much and a nice bun does the trick for me
