Anyone know Brixham?

Hi I’m thinking of staying there on the way down to see a friend in Cornwall.

I’d like to do a coast walk while I’m there but don’t know it at all - is it best to walk towards Paignton or go the other way?

Also any recommendations for somewhere to eat in the evening? I’ll be on my own so might feel a bit self conscious in a pub - unless anyone knows of some nice places?

thanks 😊

Walking from town up to Berry Head (the other way) is a nice walk and the Guardhouse Cafe at the top does lovely cakes and stuff. That said, the other way around to Broadsands is also nice!

My mum often goes to Brixham by herself and will happily eat in any of the fish and chip or seafood places. She liked Rockfish and the seafood lace where all the tables are on the cobbles

Brixham is so lovely! I've never done a walk but there are plenty of fish and chips and afternoon tea type places to eat. There is a really friendly pub on the harbour and a fish restaurant. There was also a lovely tapas place on the high street.

There is a pub on Berry Head where you can sit outside.

It is quite small but we found plenty to do and eat.
