Has anyone taken DCs to Bletchley Park?

I'm wondering if it's something a 9 year old would engage with. He likes maths and logic problems but it does not follow that he'd like Bletchley Park -Grin

It's quite some way from us but doable for a long day trip so don't want to go on a whim.

Any views would be great. Thanks

My two, at 8 & 10 were probably about the youngest that would get a decent amount out of it. The best thing was the kids trail packs. They’re only £1 each and they were really quite decent. There was a fair amount of queuing on the day that we visited due to social distancing, so the trails helped to distract the dc. The museum is also quite text heavy (though there are a few interactive parts), so it was useful for the dc to have something to do during the bits they weren’t interested in whilst dh and I read all the information.
I also highly recommend that you get one of the free multimedia guides. There’s two modes – the adult and family versions. The family version does tell them about the history, but there’s also lots of games.

Took 7 year old Daughter recently. She was bored, but too young I think.

The computer museum is brilliant if they are into gaming and coding.
