Recycling electric tootbrushes and razors?

Was wondering about any ways I can recycle electric toothbrushes and razors, as they have enclosed batteries which probably should be disposed of like other electronics/batteries?

Doesn't your local recycling place have a skip for small electricals?

The guys at our local tip waste reception centre are very helpful, they will take them I'm sure.

I'll have a look at that thanks @TonTonMacoute , these batteries can be recycled so they probably just take them out and recycle them separately. Another thing that just occurred to me is toys with batteries, most people (including me) probably just throw them out without taking batteries out. Apparently lithium iron batteries often set on fire at waste centres if not recycled in the correctly way. Always recycle mine in stores and my work also takes them.

@GFFord

you are quite right, if these batteries get into ordinary rubbish it can cause fires, although fires in rubbish tips have always been a big problem.

If they are recycled properly the battery components can be extracted and re used.
