Chances of Elderly Mum Catching Norovirus

My elderly vulnerable DM is due to visit my DSis in about 10 days. DM doesn't live with me but we are very local to each other and she does need quite a bit of support from me now due to mobility issues and her memory not being so good. I am due to go abroad in a couple of weeks and my DM always goes to my DSis and they have a lovely week together and DM looks forward to it so much. They already have lots of things booked for this holiday.

My DSis has been very poorly with D&V, acute pains in her tummy and aching since Tuesday and GP has sent off a stool sample. We suspect it's norovirus but results won't be back for over a week.

DSis told me last night that she is worried as norovirus can live on surfaces etc for up to 2 weeks so we are now worried about DM going and still being able to catch it. I've just read about "fogging" your house to kill off any norovirus so this may be a possibility to ensure DM will be safe.

I just wondered what others would do in our case?
