Anyone else shocked that Roman Polanski never charged for his crimes?

All these years passed and he is still making films and getting awards and never extradited back to face his crimes, then again France have terrible laws about age of consent.

I have thought the same.

I refuse to watch his films. There was one where I would have done given the subject matter released in 2020.

He was charged and agreed a plea deal, but fled to France when he learnt that the judge was planning on rejecting the plea deal and sentencing him to time in prison. There is an Interpol red notice for his arrest, which means he rarely leaves France.

It is most definitely very very wrong that he had no consequences for his crime(s) and continues to be lauded. I certainly couldn't ever work with him if I was in that industry. It's a classic example of "talented/genius" white wealthy men being given a total pass for their past (or present) behaviour.

I agree what is it with him and Woody Allen and Elon Musk's dad who has 2 children with his step daughter. Just beyond weird and perverted to have brought these children up as your own and then to sleep with them gross the lot of them. Money really makes some people have no morals and entitled.
