White t-shirts, all of my Matalan have gone raggy at the same time

I want to buy some good quality t-shirts slim fit, historically (about ten years ago) there was little or no difference between Matalan and Marks. Accept this may have changed.

But at 58 I am too old to rock the slightly see through t-shirts look and would welcome advice from the hive mind.
