EasyJet masks for Spain

Has anyone flown to Spain with EasyJet recently? We’re flying last minute and now I’m panicking I haven’t got time to sort everything properly.

I know we need to wear a face mask on the plane, but does it have to be a particular kind? I’ve seen that FFP2 is needed for Germany so want to be sure that a regular mask will be fine for Spain.

thank you.

I came back a couple of ago. You only need the normal ones if you do want to take one to wear. The cabin crew and a handful of people were wearing them but they weren’t asking people to put them on.

couple of weeks ago that should say

Flown from Spain recently with another airline, we were among very few people on the plane wearing a mask. In Spain you must have a mask for buses, coach trips, and all the taxis we were in the drivers wore them so we did too.

Nobody at all was wearing them when i went a few weeks ago.

You do need them for public transport in Spain.

Normal mask. We were asked to put one on for the flight out (because of the rules in Spain) but didn't have to wear it on the flight back to the UK.

I flew to Barcelona last week with Easy Jet - people were wearing all sorts of face masks, they didn't ask for a specific kind. I think you'll be fine!

Thanks, everyone. Feeling reassured now.

I would suggest wearing your mask in security queues etc not just on the plane, as (as much as anyone can know) dh got covid from the airport when we went on holiday.

I get what you mean op, it isn’t clear really is it?

We are flying to Spain on Tuesday and being cautious, I ordered some FFP2 masks.
The thought that after three years of not being able to go abroad, I wasn’t going to take chances.

Went to Spain last week with a different airline, nobody was wearing masks on the flight (staff included) nobody asked us to wear one.

Didn’t use any public transport apart from our pre booked transfer and nobody was wearing mask or asking anyone else to then either.

Legally, masks are still required on public transport in Spain, so it does depend on whether your flight is considered to be a Spanish flight or a UK one (and how much the crew reinforce it).
It's worth having a couple in your bag anyhow. If you need healthcare of any sort, or even a visit to the chemist, you will need to wear a mask.
