Newborn baby - covid - vomiting help!

We have a five week old baby. We all tested positive in this house (me, DP and baby). Baby was incredibly ill on Sunday night with temperature and moaning and therefore we took him to the Children's Hospital where he spent the night. He was observed for 12 hours then let home.

We believe that he is feeling slightly better now, he no longer has a temperature or feels hot to the touch. However the vomiting! Straight after feeds, just after feeds, an hour and a half after feeds (when it's all curdled like it's been in his tummy). Is this normal for babies with covid?

I'd seek help again asap,it's important he doesn't get dehydrated.

This site is good for advice, look at the green, amber and red drop downs for what to look out for.

A and E now like a few others have said. This ain’t the age to be brave and ride it out. He may need IV fluids. They go down really quick at this age unfortunately. A and E will be more than happy to check him over.

hope he’s better soon.

Was everything ok with the babies? I have covid and I am worried that I have already passed it to my 14 week old DS as I didn’t realise it was covid until - I am sure - it is too late. I am breastfeeding so just hope he is also getting some immunity from me too!
