What is your house 'background' electricity power consumption?

Linked to other threads. At night time, and when I leave for work, all devices that need to be off are off. Just a few things plugged in but nothing on like the TV. Just standby modes for things. Clock radio etc.

It is 45 watts of power. So that's about 1.26 p an hour at 28 p per KWH.

Or £110 a year.

Do other people know their house 'background' power consumption ? I was just curious to see how we compare.

I worked ours out at 2.4KWh per day which is quite high I think. Our fridge is big and old so I'm assuming it's that.

90watts

When away on holiday I averaged between 2 and 3 kw per day. (17 kw over the week) that basically covers a tall fridge freezer, a second larder fridge and my Humax box. Everything else turned off.

I'm not sure but apparently I'm doing the right things

About 28 -44kw a day. But it’s been hot and the air conditioning is on all night. Solar panels generate about 29 kw each day this time of year

Backofthenet20 · 21/07/2022 06:27

About 0.3 per hour overnight
